If you’re packaging your discs in jewel cases or DVD cases, I recommend top-spine labels. Simply put, they offer you the sheen of a well-established artist, plus they’re very retail-friendly. (A top-spine label is a strip of tape on the top of a jewel case or DVD case that displays your name, release title, and bar code number.)
Price: 9¢ per unit up to 1,999; just 7¢ per unit for 2,000 or more (minimum charge $90). I don’t feel top spines are necessary on most eco-packaging formats as they have not become an industry expectation in these formats.

Here’s a way to make your CD look and literally feel different from anything else in the marketplace. We use black-tinted polycarbonate and a special custom stamper to create a disc that is black on both sides and delightfully grooved, just like an old 45. Available with any CD package. Add 19¢ per disc. Minimum order 1,000. Add five days.
