equivalent of “flying luxury class”: Certified Oasis single
speed glass cutting can be applied to your master.
What does this mean? Well, the first step in disc manufacturing is
cutting a glass master, which is then used to create the stamper that
will press your discs. The standard way to cut your glass master is
at high speed (up to eight times the normal playback speed.) This
is standard industry practice and there’s actually nothing wrong
with it. Many top hits, in fact, were done this way.
However, many recording engineers, audiophiles, and mastering professionals
advocate the use of true single-speed glass cutting, which they feel
provides the greatest fidelity and the least “jitter”
(timing errors). With true single speed cutting, your glass master
literally cannot be differentiated, even with an oscilloscope, from
the source you’ve provided.
Single-speed glass cutting is not commonly offered in the
rest of the industry, because it greatly disrupts workflow
at the pressing plant, and thus reduces profits.
But Oasis cuts its own glass for you in-house. And
Oasis is the company people choose when they want the best product.

This method is not “second rate” – your replicated
CD will meet Red Book Audio standards and is guaranteed to be a digital
replica of your master regardless of the glass cutting method you
choose. The choice is yours – both options provide excellent
sound quality.
NOTE: Every
Oasis single-speed glass project is authenticated for you via a Certificate
of Transfer Method, verified by our engineering staff. Furthermore,
the inner ring of every disc manufactured by Oasis using this method
indicates that it was made from Certified Oasis Single-Speed Glass.
Unlike a broker who cannot control how your glass is actually cut,
we personally make your glass master for you here in-house. And we
do not release your single-speed project for replication – or
ship it to you – without these important verification procedures.
